Itinerary

This unforgettable 5-day journey through England and Scotland brings together nature, history and culture in a perfectly balanced small-group experience. Starting in Manchester and ending in Edinburgh, the tour takes you from vibrant city life to peaceful countryside, from the fairytale landscapes of the Lake District to the dramatic Highlands of Scotland. Along the way, you will explore historic cities, stone-built villages, ancient castles, and iconic landmarks such as Glencoe Valley, Loch Ness and Edinburgh Castle. Carefully planned routes, scenic walks and free evenings create a relaxed yet immersive travel experience that feels more like exploring with friends than following a typical tour.

After arriving in Manchester, we begin our exploration with a short city tour. Known as one of the key cities of the Industrial Revolution, Manchester offers a rich blend of history, culture, and creative energy.

Our first stop is the impressive Manchester Town Hall, a symbol of the city’s industrial heritage. We then visit the iconic John Rylands Library, renowned for its stunning architecture and historic atmosphere.

Next, we take a walk through the Northern Quarter, Manchester’s bohemian and artistic district. Several scenes from the popular TV series Peaky Blinders were filmed here, and the industrial spirit of the era can still be felt in the streets.

In the evening, enjoy free time and dinner around Canal Street, one of the city’s most lively areas.

We then explore the charming towns of Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere, known for their stone houses, lakeside cafés, and relaxed atmosphere.

Later in the day, we stop in Grasmere, the village of renowned poet William Wordsworth. Here, there is time for a sweet break at the famous Gingerbread Shop.

The Lake District has also served as a filming location for parts of Netflix’s hit series The Witcher, with landscapes that perfectly match the show’s magical atmosphere.

Famous for its dramatic scenery, the valley is deeply connected to Scottish history and also served as the backdrop for the opening scenes of the globally popular series Outlander. After photo stops, we enjoy a peaceful nature walk along the Glencoe Lochan Trail.

This approximately 45-minute trail passes through forest paths and tranquil lake reflections, perfectly capturing the calm yet powerful spirit of the Scottish Highlands. If time allows, we make a short stop at the scenic Falls of Falloch on the return journey.
